Bowmer + Kirkland increased turnover to £1.37bn in the year to 31 August 2025, while pre-tax profit rose to £76.4m and net assets reached £671.9m.

Profit and asset base strengthen

The privately owned construction and development group recorded turnover of £1.373bn, up 6% from £1.291bn in 2024.

Gross profit increased from £129.0m to £168.9m, with operating profit rising from £35.4m to £47.4m. Profit before tax reached £76.4m, compared with £68.7m in the previous year, while profit for the financial year increased 14% to £57.1m.

Cash at bank and in hand stood at £476.8m at year-end, slightly below the £485.3m reported in 2024. Net assets increased from £632.7m to £671.9m.

Fit-out operations expand

Bowmer + Kirkland increased the value of its investment property portfolio from £67.1m to £110.8m during the year.

The group also launched Your Space by B+K, a specialist fit-out operation, and acquired DENTON, a design-led fit-out business operating from London and Manchester.

Average monthly employment across the group increased from 1,962 to 2,252 people. Directors declared a dividend of £16.24m, up from £8.38m in the previous financial year.
