Procore has expanded its collaboration with NVIDIA, introducing digital twin capabilities designed to identify construction risks before they disrupt major project programmes.
Procore’s Model Manager now connects with Realism Mode, powered by NVIDIA Omniverse libraries, enabling teams to explore highly realistic 3D project environments and simulate conditions before they arise onsite.
The technology, currently in closed beta, is designed to assess extreme weather, sun exposure and the movement of workers and equipment, identifying potential conflicts while there is still time to adjust construction plans.
Connecting site data with project schedules
Following Procore’s acquisition of DroneDeploy, aerial and ground-based reality capture can be combined with project data to compare construction progress against design models and flag discrepancies.
Connecting 3D models with procurement and programme information also allows teams to examine the knock-on impact of delayed materials or equipment installation, giving delivery teams more time to revise sequencing.
Vladimir Troy, Vice President of AI Infrastructure at NVIDIA, said:
“NVIDIA Omniverse lets teams simulate these systems before construction begins, identify problems earlier and make better decisions before they become costly changes in the field.”
Further integration in development
The Procore-NVIDIA integration remains in closed beta. Additional Procore spatial and asset capabilities, including Model Manager and Commissioning, are also progressing through beta, alongside a planned integration with IBM Maximo.
