Procore has agreed to acquire DroneDeploy, bringing aerial and ground-based reality capture, robotics and visual intelligence into its construction management platform.
Connecting site conditions with project data
The approximately $845m cash transaction will combine DroneDeploy’s reality capture capabilities with Procore’s project data and AI systems.
DroneDeploy uses drones, ground robots and mobile, fixed and wearable cameras to capture three-dimensional information from construction sites and operational assets. Its platform has been used on more than three million jobsites across over 180 countries.
Procore intends to translate this visual data into automated observations and actions, helping project teams document progress, identify issues earlier and reduce reliance on manual inspections.
Platform to support automated site action
The combined system is expected to connect cameras, drones and robots with Procore’s construction workflows, allowing appropriate responses to be initiated securely and within the project context.
Ajei Gopal, President and CEO of Procore, said:
“For the longer term, adding DroneDeploy’s technology into the Procore platform will enable us to accelerate our AI strategy and deliver digital coworkers that track what’s happening on a project, make sense of it, and then take action to change the outcome.”
The acquisition will combine Procore’s construction dataset with DroneDeploy’s visual record, which spans approximately 20 trillion sq ft of built environment data.
The transaction is expected to close later in 2026, subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions.
